AB  - In this thesis, I examine the theoretical background of a political trend, namely, the responsibilization of the individual. The trend turns complex societal issues like poverty and sickness into simple questions of individual responsibility. I show that what underlies it is a simplified and misunderstood version of luck egalitarianism, or responsibility-sensitive egalitarianism.
