Maire, a middle aged woman spends most of her time reading tragic stories in tabloids. She befriends with Kirsi-Mari a mother, whose husband has been killed, but the murderer got away. Instead of the young mother, who wants to life on her life, Maire finally shoots the murderer.

Maire drinks at work. Still she seems to work efficiently. After the sip she uses a mouthwash to conceal the alcohol smell.
This will be seen as addiction, as the work duty forbids drinking at work.
