Abstract: Rounders (1989, USA) by John Dahl Main Cast: Matt Damon, Edward Norton Company: Miramax Films Mike McDermott is a very good poker-player. He is a student and works also as a delivery agent for a transportation company. Nevertheless he looses 30000$ in a game. Afterwards he stops gambling and studies law and does ordinary work. When his good friend Les gets out of prison, they start to gamble to pay back the debts of Les. A table with baize, smoking players, and one light only sheds light on the table. Mike is playing and loses 30000$. Afterwards he looks quite shocked. Discussion: The statement of the audience should be negative. Although not that very negative, as Mike is looking really shocked. Hence he is caring still about something and not only about gambling.
